Enlisting TCL Corporation’s help, it has now come out with the KEYone smartphone. In a world full of touchscreen slabs, this phone stands out by virtue of having a physical keyboard. Though the price for BlackBerry KEYone seems to be on the higher side, it has been converted from its USA price. However, chances are when BlackBerry brings this device to India, it will reduce its cost. That’s because at its current cost, it may not gain traction. However, at a lower price, it stands a high chance to set BlackBerry’s cash registers ringing. (A report from PhoneRadar suggests that KEYone will cost Rs 39,999 in India)

Launch Date (expected) H2, 2017

BlackBerry should not wait for KEYone’s launch in India beyond September. It has already lost a bit of ground to Samsung and LG. A launch in H2 means it will have to square off against iPhone 8 and Pixel 2‘s launch as well. (PhoneRadar’s report suggests the phone will come to India in June)
