The new Blackberry smartphone is priced at $460 (approx Rs 30,000). There is no word on the India availability yet.). It will be first available in Middle Eastern markets like the UAE and Saudi Arabia. As of now, there is no information about an Indian launch and price.

The BlackBerry Motion sports a 5.5-inch touchscreen display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution, pixel density of 403ppi, and DragonTrail Glass protection. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and 4GB RAM. The 32GB internal storage can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 2TB).

The mid-range smartphone features a 12-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. The new handset is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps. The 8-megapixel front camera comes with a Selfie flash feature. The new smartphone is backed by a huge 4000mAh non-removable battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support, and a USB Type-C port.

The new BlackBerry Motion runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system (will soon be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo). It comes with a range of security features including DTEK security suite, support for FIPS 140-2 Full Disk Encryption, Android For Work, and Google Play for Work features. A fingerprint scanner is placed on the front side. Other sensors on the device include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.

The dual-SIM smartphone is also water-resistant. It features a physical home button below the display. A ‘Smart Convenience Key’ feature allows users to instantly bring up most-used apps and functions. It measures 155.70 x 75.40 x 8.13mm. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, 3G, and 4G.
