BlackBerry has a lot riding on the back of its latest OS, BB10 and the BB10 powered devices. India has been that market for BlackBerry where the company’s market share has increased when it has declined elsewhere. They surely could not leave behind the Indians when it came to launching the Z10 and they have just launched their next flagship in India at a price of sky rocketing Rs.43,499. The pre bookings of the device had already started and the ones who have booked it already will be able to lay their hands on the device starting tomorrow.
It will reach the retail stores within a week and then we can safely expect the device’s price to come down over a period of time. BlackBerry Z10 will have a 4.2-inch LCD touchscreen display unit which will have a resolution of 1280×768 pixels. The display will have an amazing pixel density of 356 ppi and the device will support 4 points of touch at the same point of time. The device is quite thin and the thickness stands at 9mm. It may not be the slimmest of devices but by BlackBerry standards, is quite the Size-zero device.
A dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 processor will power it and helping it will be a 2 GB RAM to ensure the processor gets complemented well and you can do as much of multitasking as you wish to. There’s 16 GB of internal memory as well on offer to store all your content. You also get a microSD card slot which will help you increase the memory of the device. An 8 MP camera will be present at the rear coupled with LED flash and will have the ability to shoot 1080p videos. A front facing 2 MP camera is also present which can shoot movies in 720p resolution.
BlackBerry Z10 will cover all the connectivity bases and will come with 3G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, Gyroscope, Magnetometer, Ambient Light Sensor and Near Field Communication ability. A micro HDMI port and a micro USB port will also be present for that added connectivity. A 1,800 mAH battery unit will give the juice needed to run and now BB will be hoping that the Indian receive the smartphone well. But isn’t it a bit pricey? Tell us by leaving a comment below.
