Byond 3G Android Tablet Mi-Book Mi7 Launched At Rs. 11,499

Another Android tablet to the showcase. Pune based company Byond tech has launched their seventh tablet in the Mi-Book series as Mi-book Mi7. Just a week ago the company had launched their 6-inch Phablet PIII, the dual SIM android smart phone and now we have their first 3G tablet the Mi-Book Mi7.

The Mi-Book Mi7 features a 7″ capacitive touch screen display with 600×1024 pixels resolution. It runs on a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB of internal storage on Android v4.0 aka ICS mobile operating system. It also supports expandable memory via microSD card slot up to 32 GB. It features 2 megapixel primary camera at the back and VGA front facing camera handles the basic photo and video requirements whereas Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G via the SIM card slot provides all the connectivity solutions. The SIM card slot supports mini-SIM and provides calling as well as data services that means this tablet can make calls too. All this is powered by a 3200 mAh Li-ion battery which can satisfy one’s usual needs but can vary depending upon the usage.

The 7-inch tablet will be pre-loaded with a bunch of applications like Facebook, Gmail etc. and supports 1080p video recording and playback. The product is priced at ₹11,499 but at online retailing websites like Flipkart it is available for as low as ₹10,999. Byond are aiming to have a 15 percent share in the tablet market where Samsung leads the pack with a 23.9 percent share. This tablet is the 7th tablet in the company’s range of tablets. It has been priced competitively at Rs.11,499 and will be available at all e-commerce websites and retailers. Now Byond is really heating up the tablet market, what remains to be seen is as to how does the average consumer receives their products.
