Huawei MediaPad M2 Tablet Goes Official: Price, Specs & Features

After being unveiled last month in May in Paris, the Huawei MediaPad M2 tablet is now official. It will be first rolled out in China, Western Europe and South Pacific followed by  other markets (Russia, Japan and North and Eastern Europe). The tablet can be grabbed in Silver and Gold color options. It will be available with optional magnetic smart cover which doubles up as a stand. 

As for specifications, it comes with 2GHz octa-core Kirin 930 processor, 2GB of RAM, 8-inch display, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with Emotion UI 3.0, 16GB inbuilt memory, 8 mega pixel primary camera, 2 mega pixel front camera and 4800mAh battery.

Expanding its Slide series, iBall has launched a new tablet-iBall Slide WQ77 in the Indian market. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a 1.33GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Featuring a 7.85-inch IPS (1024×768 pixels) display, it runs Windows 8.1 operating system.

There is 16GB of inbuilt storage on board which is expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. On camera front, the device sports a 5 mega pixel auto focus rear camera and a 2 mega pixel front facing camera. Backed up by 4000mAh battery, it offers 3G (using dongle), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Micro-USB as connectivity options.

Micromax has launched its new tablet called the Micromax Canvas Tabby. Highlight of this tablet is that it comes with dual use mode for kids and parents. For kids, it comes with over 100 pre-loaded apps, 500 videos in the three areas, namely, Education, Creativity and Entertainment. In parent use mode, it can be used to perform various tasks such as watching movies, surfing internet as well as parents can keep a check on what the kids are doing.

Samsung has launched its two new voice calling tablets- 8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab A and 9.6-inch Galaxy Tab E in the Indian market. As for specifications, the Galaxy Tab A is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, it features an 8-inch XGA display with 1024×768 pixels resolution.

Other specifications of the Galaxy Tab A include 16GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), 5 mega pixel rear camera, 2 mega pixel front facing camera and a 4200mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Tab E Launched: Price, Specs & Features

Samsung has launched a new tablet, dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Tab E in Taiwan. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM. Running Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, it features a 9.6-inch WXGA TFT display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution.

There is 8GB of inbuilt memory which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The tablet sports a 5 mega pixel auto focus rear camera and a 2 mega pixel front facing camera. Backed up by a 5000mAh battery, the device measures 241.9 x 149.5 x 8.5 mm in dimensions and weighs 490 grams. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB. On design front, the tablet comes with faux leather finish at the back.

Dell Venue 8 7000 Series Tablet Launched In India At Rs. 34,999: Specs & Features

Dell has launched its Dell Venue 8 7000 series in India. With thickness of mere 6mm, the Venue 8 7840 is touted as ‘World’s Thinnest Tablet.’

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor paired with PowerVR G6430 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Running Android 5.0 operating system, it features an 8.4-inch Quad-HD OLED (2560 x 1600 pixels resolution) display. On camera front, it comes with an 8 mega pixel rear camera with Intel RealSense Snapshot Depth Camera and a 2 mega pixel front facing camera. Backed up by a 5670mAh battery, the tablet will come in two variants- 16GB/32GB (both expandable via microSD card).

Lenovo has launched new range of 2-in-1 Yoga Laptops in India. Targeting students in the country, the new series comprises of Yoga 300, Yoga 500, Yoga 3 14 and Yoga 3 Pro convertible laptops. All these 2-in-1 Intel powered Windows 8.1 laptops feature 360 degree flexibility for use in different modes.
