Chinese handset maker Coolpad has slashed the price of its Coolpad Dazen 1 smartphone. The handset was originally introduced for Rs. 6,999 last month. Now, the company has permanently dropped the price of the handset to Rs. 5,999 to take on the likes of Yu Yuphoria and Xiaomi Redmi 2. The Dazen 1 is now available to buy through flash sales exclusively from Snapdeal at the new price.
As for specifications, it comes with 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat OS, 5-inch HD IPS display, 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB), 8 mega pixel rear camera, 5 mega pixel front camera and a 2500mAh battery.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Coolpad has made its foray into the Indian market with the launch of two new smartphones under its Dazen brand- Coolpad Dazen 1 and Dazen X7. Coolpad has entered into exclusive partnership with Snapdeal for the sale of Dazen smartphones.
As for specifications, the Dazen 1 is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It features a 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280×720 pixels resolution and runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. On imaging front, the Dazen 1 sports an 8 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with flash and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. There is 8GB of inbuilt storage on board which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
The phone comes preloaded with G sensor, Proximity sensor and Light sensor. It measures 141×71.5×9.3mm in dimensions and will be available in Moon Dust Grey and Baby Snow-white color options. Backed up by a 2500mAh battery, the handset is claimed to deliver up to 3 hours of talk time, 200 hours of standby time and up to 7 hours of browsing time.
Another Chinese brand Phicomm is alll set to enter Indian market as soon as on June 3, 2015. The company has already sent out invites for an event in New delhi where it will launch its first smartphone with 4G support, the Passion 660.
