Design

Both Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Coolpad Note 5 flaunt their premium metallic designs. They come with metal unibody and feature a fingerprint sensor on the back. The Redmi Note 3 also has an IR blaster that lets users control compatible appliances. The Coolpad Note 5 is slightly larger and wider than the Redmi Note 3.

Processor & RAM

The Coolpad Note 5 packs an cta-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. It houses 32GB of internal memory and supports expandable storage up to 64GB via microSD card. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is equipped with a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. There is also a 2GB RAM+16GB variant of the Redmi Note 3. The Coolpad Note 5 has more RAM compared to the Redmi Note 3 and promises smooth multitasking experience.

Verdict

The Coolpad Note 5 offers more RAM but a slower chipset while the Redmi Note 3 has less RAM but a faster chipset. Furthermore, the Coolpad Note 5 sports an 8 mega pixel front shooter with LED flash for better selfies in low lighting conditions.
