The Gionee CTRL V4 was launched in India back in June,2013. Now Gionee came with the successor of CTRL V4. The Gionee CTRL V5 is available at Gionee India eStore at the price INR 12,999. The smartphone is available in black and white colours. However Gionee has not commented officially anything about the smartphone, just silently made it available. It will be launched officially in next month. Right now, the  smartphone is available with payment option via credit and debit card only, cash on delivery is not available for this smartphone on eStore of Gionee.

Talking about the specifications of the smartphone, it is a 4.7-inch display smartphone with the thickness of 8.07mm along with 103grams weigh. The pixel resolution of the display is 960*540pixel resolution. The smartphone runs on 1.3Ghz quad core processor from MediaTek along with a Mali 400 GPU as well. There is 1GB of RAM on board as well. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2 jelly bean operating system from Google.

On the back of the smartphone, there is an 8-megapixel auto focus camera along with LED flash and a2-megapixel front shooter for video calling and self-portrait as well.

There is 8GB of internal storage in smartphone along with 32GB memory card support as well on board. The smartphone is powered by 1800mAh battery. The Gionee CTRL V5 is a dual SIM smartphone on top. On the other hand it has 3G, Bluetooth, WI-Fi and GPS as well.

 Expert Analysis

At the Price point 13K, I love to talk about Motorola’s Moto G at this price tag. The Moto G is really exceptional smartphone with exceptional price. There are so many reasons you would prefer to buy Moto G expect other phone at this price point. And the only thing that disappoints people not to buy Moto G is lack of support of memory card. But sacrificing only this one feature, you will get latest Android operating system, brightest display at this price point and so on. I am not saying that Gionee CTRL V5 is not a good smartphone, but the point is, if you launch a smartphone with a price tag that nearly stands price tag of Moto G then people are not even going to look at other smartphone.

On the other hand if the 8-megapixel camera of Gionee CTRL V5 performed really well, then maybe it can hit the Moto G popularity.
