The new handset comes in three variants. The 4GB RAM/ 64GB internal storage variant is priced at CNY 2,299 (approx Rs 22,000) and the 6GB RAM/ 64GB internal storage variant is priced at CNY 2,699 (approx Rs 26,000). While the 6GB RAM/ 128GB internal storage variant costs CNY 2,999 (approx Rs 28,500). The Honor 9 goes on sale in China from Friday. It will be available online via Vmall, JD.com, Tmall.com, and several other websites. As of now, details about an Indian launch or price are not available.

The Huawei Honor 9 sports a 5.15-inch LTPS display with full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution and 428ppi pixel density. It is powered by the company’s own Huawei’s own octa-core Kirin 960 processor (four 2.4GHz cores + four 1.8GHz cores). The Honor 9 is backed by a 3200mAh non-removable battery.

On the camera front, the Honor 9 sports a dual cameras on the back. The camera setup includes a 20-megapixel sensor for monochrome and a 12-megapixel sensor for RGB. Camera features include a f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus system (PDAF), 2x optical zoom, 4K video recording, and two-tone LED flash. There’s also an 8-megapixel front camera on board which supports full-HD video recording.

The dual-SIM (both Nano-SIMs) smartphone runs on Huawei EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The hybrid SIM slot allows up to 256GB of external storage via a micro Sd card. The Honor 9 comes in Amber Gold, Black, and Blue color options. It measures 147.3×70.9×7.45mm and weighs 155 grams.

Additionally, the new smartphone supports the newly launched Huawei Pay out-of-the-box payment solution. The Honor 9comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor.
