Lenovo K80 With 4 GB RAM, 4000 mAh Battery Launched: Specs & Features

Lenovo has launched its new smartphone dubbed the Lenovo K80 in China. The highlight of this device is its massive 4 GB of RAM and 4000 mAh battery. Under the hood, the K80 is powered by a 64-bit 1.2 GHz Intel Atom processor. Featuring a 5.5 inch full HD display, it runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. It sports a 13 mega pixel camera on the rear with OIS (optical image stabilisation) while details about front facing camera are not known as of now. It houses 64 GB of inbuilt storage. Measuring 8.5 mm in thickness, the handset will be available in several color options- Black, Silver and Red.

The K80 will apparently take on Asus Zenfone 2 which also features 4 GB of RAM and made its debut in India this week. The 64 GB variant of Zenfone 2 with 4 GB of RAM is priced at Rs. 22,999. Other specifications of the handset include 2.3 GHz Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core processor, 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution, 13 mega pixel rear camera, 5 mega pixel front facing camera, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with ZenUI and 3000 mAh battery.

Lenovo has also launched its another handset, Lenovo A5000 in Russia for RUB 12,000 (Rs. 14,500 approximately). It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor and packs 5-inch HD IPS (1280×720 pixel resolution, 300 ppi) display, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of inbuilt storage, 8 mega pixel primary camera, 2 mega pixel front facing camera and a 4000 mAh battery.

Price and Availability

Priced at CNY 1,799 (Rs 18,500 approximately), the Lenovo K80 will go on sale in China starting April 30. There is also a standard version of the device with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of inbuilt storage which is priced at CNY 1,499 (Rs 15,400 approximately). There is no word on pricing and availability of the handset in India.
