On aesthetics front, the Vibe X3 flaunts its premium build and design. It flaunts its metal frame with high quality poly carbonate back which feels soft to touch. Overall design of the phone looks premium. It may however, feel a bit heavier in hand as it weighs 175 grams.

It features a super bright 5.5-inch full HD panel with resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and pixel density of 403ppi. The display has excellent outdoor visibility and great color reproduction. As per Lenovo, it covers 100% of the NTSC color gamut which is not very common in smartphones these days.

On the rear of the phone, there is primary camera, dual LED flash, Lenovo branding, Dolby Atmos branding and fingerprint scanner for additional security. The fingerprint scanner is fast, accurate and is comparable to that of iPhone 6.

Coming to audio experience, it uses high quality amplifiers on chip level. The phone features dual front firing speakers (above and below display) designed by Lenovo which comply with Dolby Atmos surround sound. Audio quality is loud and clear.

Below the display, there are three touch capacitive buttons which are not backlit.

Left edge houses hybrid SIM card slot such that the second slot can be used to accommodate either a second SIM card or a microSD card. Volume rocker and power button are located on the right edge.

IR blaster and 3.5mm audio jack are located on the top edge. IR blaster allows users to control appliances such as televisions, home theaters and other compatible devices at home.

The device comes with three mic noise cancellation system. It uses 3 microphones to pick up noise from surrounding and cancel it to deliver excellent call clarity.

It sports 21 mega pixel rear camera with dual LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX230 sensor and PDAF (phase detection autofocus). The phone is capable of taking excellent shots. The outdoor shots however, are not very impressive and show some noise. The phone also supports 4K video recording. The 8 mega pixel front camera produces great selfies both in front of the light and against the light. At the heart of the phone, is a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with 3GB of RAM. The Vibe X3 scored around 68000 points on An tu tu benchmarks. It offers seamless multitasking and gaming performance and handles heaviest of the games with ease.

It supports USB OTG so that you can watch movies and videos directly on the screen using external pendrive. It stands at 32GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

On software front, it runs Android Lollipop operating system wrapped under Vibe UI.It offers Secure Zone feature which allows users to secure their private applications. Users will have two zones- open zone and secure zone. While the open zone will run all applications, the secure zone will run only trusted apps which the user has configured. Users can switch between the two zones using Secure Zone icon in the status bar.

There are some other software features which this phone offers. It comes with QuickSnap feature which allows users to capture selfies by clicking the any of the volume keys twice even when the phone is locked. Other features include double tap to wake up, flip phone to lock the phone, theme support, single handed user support and more.

The phone comes with native VR support and you can use this phone with split screen virtual reality. Users can use Lenovo’s ANT VR headset to enhance gaming and video watching experience. It gives 100 degrees of field of view.

The phone is backed up by a non-removable 3600mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support which charges the phone from 0 to 60% in around 30 minutes. You will however, have to purchase a fast charger separately as it comes with 5V 2A charger instead of a quick charger.
