Chinese handset maker Meizu has finally made its foray in the Indian market. The company has launched its M1 Note smartphone in India at Rs. 11,999. The handset will go on sale exclusively on Amazon India starting today at 2:00 PM. Meizu will follow open sales for M1 Note unlike other brands like Xiaomi and Honor which follow flash sales model.

As for specifications, the handset is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS with Flyme 4.0 UI. Other specifications of the handset include 5.5 inch full HD display, 13 mega pixel rear camera, 5 mega pixel front facing camera and a 3140 mAh battery.

Meizu has finally made its debut in the Indian market with the launch of M1 Note smartphone. The company has not revealed the price of the handset, however it has announced that the M1 Note will go on sale on May 20 exclusively on Amazon India. It is expected to be priced under Rs. 20,000. Meizu will follow open sales and not flash sales model.

To recall, the M1 Note features a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, 5.5-inch full HD display, 13 mega pixel rear camera, 5 mega pixel front facing camera, 4G LTE support and a 3140 mAh battery.

Chinese smartphone maker Meizu is gearing up for an event in India on May 18, 2015 where it is likely to launch M1 Note smartphone. The company has posted a teaser image on its social media pages and says “We’ve heard you and here is the date. #0518.” Meizu has also taken dig at Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun through the teaser image which reads “Are you ok?” and “5.18 see! see!” Although Meizu has not yet revealed which smartphone it is going to launch in India, it could be the M1 Note, which it has been teasing for months.

After Xiaomi, Oppo and OnePlus, another Chinese smartphone maker named Meizu is gearing up to enter India with its Meizu M1 Note smartphone. The company has launched its official Facebook page for Indian market and is also running a Giveaway contest, the results of which will be announced on March 21, 2015. Coming to the specifications of Meizu M1 Note smartphone, the dual-SIM handset is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM and with Mali-T760 GPU. The handset runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system with Flyme 4.0 UI over its top. It features a 5.5 inch full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, 403 ppi pixel density  and scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Based on inbuilt storage, it will come in two variants-16 GB or 32 GB internal storage. The handset however lacks a microSD card slot. On photography front, it features a 13 mega pixel rear camera and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. It packs a massive 3140 mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
