Meizu has launched its m3 Note smartphone in the Indian market. To recall, the phone was launched in two variants in China- one with 2GB RAM+16GB storage and other with 3GB RAM+32GB storage. The company, however has brought only the latter in India.
Loaded with top-notch features and carrying a competitive price tag of Rs. 9,999, the m3 Note will compete with feature rich smartphones from various brands such as Xiaomi, Coolpad and LeEco. All four smartphones feature a 5.5-inch display. The Coolpad Note 3 comes with an HD display with 1280×720 pixels while other three phones pack full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution.
Meziu m3 Note, Le 1s and Coolpad Note 3 sport a 13 mega pixel primary camera. Meizu m3 Note features dual LED flash while the latter two come with single LED flash. Redmi Note 3 sports a 16 mega pixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash.
There is a 5 mega pixel camera front facing camera on all the four smartphones.
The Meizu m3 Note is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor; Redmi Note 3 packs a hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor and Le 1s comes with an octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 Turbo processor. The Coolpad Note 3 has an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor.
All the four phones house 3GB of RAM. Meizu m3 Note and Le 1s come with 32GB of internal memory. Coolpad Note 3 lags behind in this department with 16GB of inbuilt storage. Xiaomi Redmi 3 Note comes in two variants based on RAM and storage- one with 2GB RAM+16GB storage and other with 3GB RAM+32GB storage. Except LeEco Le 1s, all other phones support expandable storage via microSD card.
All four devices run Android Lollipop operating system wrapped under their respective UI’s.
Battery & Connectivity
Meziu m3 Note is backed up by a 4100mAh battery, closely followed by Redmi Note 3 with 4000mAh battery. Le 1s and Coolpad Note 3, both are fueled by 3000mAh batteries.
All the phones offer 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
All four phones feature fingerprint sensor for additional security. LeEco Le 1s comes with USB Type-C port.
Coolpad Note 3 is the cheapest of the lot with a price tag of Rs. 8,999. Meizu m3 Note is priced at Rs. 9,999. LeEco Le 1s can be grabbed for Rs. 10,999. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 variant with 2GB RAM+16GB storage is priced at Rs. 9,999 while 3GB RAM+ 32GB storage variant costs Rs. 11,999.
Coolpad Note 3 carries the lowest price tag but it also lags behind on spec-sheet. While all other phones in this comparison offer full HD display, the Coolpad Note 3 features HD display. Specifications of all other three smartphones match closely. Meizu m3 Note seems to offer better specs at lowest possible price, compared to all other smartphones in this comparison. The price tag of Le 1s is more than the price of m3 Note, yet it lags behind in expandable storage and battery department. The Xiaomi Redmi 3 variant with Rs. 9,999 price tag offers less RAM and storage. Thus, Meizu m3 Note seems to be the winner in this department as it excels in every comparison despite its low price tag.
