Micromax has added a new handset to its Canvas series, the Micromax Canvas Play smartphone. The Canvas Play is now listed on company’s official website as well as an online portal eBay India. Under the hood, this dual-SIM smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop, it features a 5.5 inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 854×480 pixels.
The Canvas Play sports a 5 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera. On storage front, it houses 8 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.
The Canvas Play is backed up by a 2820 mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 273 hours of standby time. Connectivity options which this handset offers, include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB.
It comes preloaded with several apps such as Askme, Clean master, Chaatz, Dr. Safety, Games club, Hotstar , Snapdeal, Swiftkey, Giga jump, M! Games, M! live, Paytm, News Hunt, Quikr, Reverie and many more.

Micromax also launched its Canvas Spark smartphone earlier this month at Rs. 4,999. Specifications of the handset include 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 4.7 inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, 8 GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 32 GB), 8 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with flash, 2 mega pixel front facing camera and a 2000 mAh battery.
Price and Availability
Priced at Rs. 7,490, the Micromax Canvas Play is now available to buy online from eBay.in, however Micromax is yet to make an official announcement for the same.
