After heavy promotions and teasers, Micromax has finally launched its new smartphone dubbed the Micromax Canvas Spark in the Indian market. The handset is priced at Rs. 4,999 and will be available exclusively on Snapdeal.com. It will go on sale starting April 29 while registrations for first flash sale will begin tomorrow, April 22 at 12.00 PM.
Under the hood, the dual-SIM handset is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, the handset features a 4.7 inch qHD display with 960 x 540 pixels resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. There is an 8 mega pixel rear camera and a 2 mega pixel front facing camera.
Other specifications of the Canvas Spark include 8 GB of inbuilt storage (expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card) and a 2000 mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 335 hours of standby time. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

Micromax is all set to launch its smartphone Canvas Spark. The domestic handset maker has started sending out invites for an event scheduled on April 21 where the smartphone vendor will unveil its new smartphone. The invite sent by the company reads ‘Watch Sparks Fly! #MicromaxCanvasSpark’ followed by the date and venue details of the event. Priced in sub-Rs.6,000 price range, the Canvas Spark will be a Snapdeal exclusive device. The company has not revealed any specs details of the handset however the handset is likely to sport a 4.7-inch display and run Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.

Domestic handset maker Micromax has teased its upcoming smartphone Micromax Canvas Spark in India. The company has posted several teaser images which make us believe that the official launch of the device is not too far. The Canvas Spark will feature decent specs and will be launched in the sub-Rs.6,000 price range, reports Times of India. It will compete with the likes of Moto E and Xiaomi Redmi 2. Furthermore, the Canvas Spark will go on sale exclusively on Snapdeal.com via flash sales.
The teaser images shared on Twitter also indicate that the Micromax Canvas Spark will run Android operating system, feature mighty configuration like enhanced connectivity and protection while offering decent processing speed. Since Micromax has already started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system for the Canvas series smartphones, the upcoming device is likely to run Android 5.0 Lollipop. Rest of the details about specifications of the handset have not been revealed as of now, and are likely to surface in the coming days.
Micromax launched its Juice 2 phone in its Canvas series last month in March after which Micromax has not released any phone in the Canvas series. As far as specifications of the handset are concerned, the Juice 2 packs a 1.3 GHz quad-core MT6582M processor paired with 2 GB of RAM and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. Canvas Juice 2 features a 5 inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Other specifications of the device include 8 GB of inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32 GB), 8 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, 2 mega pixel front shooter and a 3000 mAh battery.
