The upcoming smartphone will be a bigger version of the Moto G5 Plus with features like larger display, premium build, and dual rear cameras. The brand is also bringing a better Moto G5 version, the Moto G5S. The specifications for the new Moto handsets have been leaked recently. It is rumored to the one of the first Moto devices to sport a dual camera setup. The Lenovo-owned brand is expected to launch the Moto G5S Plus with the Moto Z2 Force and Moto X4 on July 25 in New York. The sales are expected to start in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

According to a tipster, the Moto G5S Plus is likely to be priced at Rs 17,999. The Moto G5 Plus with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage is currently available for Rs 16,999. As of now, there is no confirmation about an Indian launch and price.

As per reports, the Moto G5S Plus will sport a larger 5.5-inch display with a full HD resolution. The Moto G5 Plus comes with a 5.2-inch full HD display. However, it will be powered by the same Snapdragon 625 processor along with 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage.

The upcoming smartphone will get a major boost in terms of camera. It is rumored to feature a dual camera setup (13-megapixel color sensor + 13-megapixel Black & White sensor) on the back. The Moto G5 Plus comes with a single 12-megapixel camera on the back. The report claims that the front camera will also be upgraded. The upcoming smartphone will sport an 8-megapixel front camera compared to 5-megapixel camera on the G5 Plus.

The Moto G5S Plus will feature an all-metal anodized aluminum design body. The G5 Plus sports a plastic-metal hybrid chassis (only the back plate is made out of metal). The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) certification confirms that the upcoming handset runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box. It will be available in multiple color options – Full Gold, Gray, White face/Silver back and White face/Gold back.

When compared to the Moto G5 Plus, the upcoming smartphone will feature a major improvement on the camera front. With the inclusion of a dual rear camera setup, the Moto G5S Plus will follow the likes of OnePlus 5, Honor 8 Pro and iPhone 7 Plus. In its price segment, the mid-range smartphone will face competition from a few devices with dual cameras such as Honor 8, Lenovo Phab 2 Plus, and Coolpad Cool 1 Dual.
