Motorola has launched the third generation of its Moto G smartphone in India earlier this week. It comes in two variants- one with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory while the other variant features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device is available to buy exclusively from online retailer Flipkart.
It will compete with the likes of Yu Yureka Plus, Lenovo K3 Note and Xiaomi Mi 4i which pack similar specs. Motorola Moto G 3rd Gen is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. Yu Yureka Plus and Xiaomi Mi 4i feature octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor while Lenovo K3 Note comes with octa-core MediaTek MT6572 processor.

This department is a tie. All the four smartphones sport a 13 mega pixel rear camera with auto focus and a 5 mega pixel camera on the front. The Moto G third gen comes with dual LED flash as opposed to single LED flash of other three devices.
RAM & Storage
The 3rd gen Moto G comes in two variants- one with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal memory while the other model packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage. Rest of the three smartphones namely, Yu Yureka Plus, Lenovo K3 Note and Xiaomi Mi 4i come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Xiaomi Mi 4i lacks microSD card slot for further expandability.
Battery & Connectivity
Xiaomi Mi 4i is backed up by largest 3120mAh battery followed by Lenovo K3 Note with 3000mAh battery. Yu Yureka Plus and Moto G 3rd gen packs 2500mAh and 2470mAh capacity batteries.
Motorola Moto G 2015 runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The Yureka Plus runs Cyaonogen 12.0 based on Android Lollipop. Other two smartphones run Android Lollipop wrapped under their respective UI’s.
Yu Yureka Plus and Lenovo K3 Note are priced at Rs. 9,999. The Xiaomi Mi 4i can be grabbed for Rs. 12,999. As for 2015 Moto G, the 8GB variant with 1GB of RAM is available for Rs. 11,999 and the 16GB variant with 2GB of RAM is available for Rs. 12,999.
The Moto G third gen comes with IPX7 certification for protection against water.
