The OnePlus 5 features metal unibody design with rounded edges and corners. Also, the antenna bands are less visible than its predecessors. The sleek looking handset resembles the iPhone 7 Plus. It measures 154.2 x 74.1 x 7.25mm and weighs 153g. The fingerprint scanner is integrated into the home button. Apparently, it takes an average of 180 days to create and perfect a coating of Soft Gold.
In terms of specifications, it is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. The new smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display and runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Oxygen OS on top. On the camera front, the OnePlus 5 comes with a dual camera setup. It combines a 16MP wide-angle lens (f/1.7 aperture) with a 20MP telephoto one to produce images with better depth of field. The company claims that the new handset comes with better image stabilization feature too. It is backed by a 3,300mAh battery with Dash Charging support.
The OnePlus 5 with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage is priced at Rs 32,999. The 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant costs Rs 37,999. While one can always get smartphone covers, it makes sense for such an expensive device to offer more than one color options.
Since both the Midnight Black and Slate Gray variants are on the darker side, the new option is a nice change. The elegant Soft Gold finish offers great combination of beautiful design and powerful features. What colour variant would you like to own? Share with us in the comments section below.
