Nokia has launched its entry level dual SIM Internet enabled phone Nokia 114 in India. The phone has a Symbian operating system and supports GPRS and EDGE networks for data and not 3G or HSDPA. With a price point close to Rs. 2549 MRP and online retailer’s price close to Rs. 2200, it is an ideal choice for consumers who want an affordable Internet enabled phone.
It has 64 MB internal memory and the memory capacity can be increase by up to 32 GB by adding an external microSD card. It supports dual band GSM and comes in black, cyan and dark purple colour options. Talking of the features, it supports Nokia Xpress browser which compresses the data transfer for high browsing speeds, it has home screen integration of social networks like Facebook and Twitter for easy access.
With low power consumption and a battery capacity of 1020 mAh, it delivers a talk time of up to 10 hours which is quite good. It has FM radio with RDS, FM recording, MP3 and MP4 video playback, photo viewer, organizer and voice memos on the features list. It has SMS, MMS, email and instant messenger support in-built. It can store up to 1000 entries in the phonebook.
The display is basic 1.8 inches coloured display with a resolution of 128×160 pixels. It is quite sleek and weighs only 80 grams. There is a camera at rear which is also quite basic with VGA resolution for still pictures and 176×144 resolution videos at 15 frames per second.
