The new 3GB variant of Nokia 5 is priced in India at Rs 13,499 (original Nokia 5 model was launched at Rs 12,499). It will be exclusively available (for one week) via Flipkart from November 7. After November 14, the new Nokia 5 will be available via retail outlets across the country.

With the new variant, customers will also get additional 5GB data from Jio 4G on every recharge of Rs 309 or above. This offer is limited to 10 recharges till August 31, 2018.

Apart from 3GB RAM, the specifications on the new Nokia 5 are identical to the original 2GB RAM model. It sports a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution and 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The new handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. The 16GB internal storage can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB).

In terms of optics, the Nokia 5 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), f/2.0 aperture, and a dual-tone flash. The handset also sports an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 84-degree field-of-view. It is backed by a 3000mAh non-removable battery.

The Nokia 5 runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box. The company is promising an upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG, FM radio with RDS, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone measures 149.7 x 72.5 x 8.05mm. It comes in Matte Black and Tempered Blue color options. The original Nokia 5 comes in Copper and Silver colors too. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.
