OnePlus 5T Oxygen OS 4.7.4 Update Starts Rolling Out

OnePlus 5T Oxygen OS 4.7.4 Update

The OnePlus 5T was launched with Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with OxygenOS 4.7 on top. The new OxygenOS 4.7.4 version update is also based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The new update is already available via OTA. It is almost 285MB in size. To check for the new update on your OnePlus 5T, just go to Settings > System update.

With the new update, the OnePlus has optimized the UI of the camera. It will also improve the image quality and audio quality (from speakers and earphone). Additional improvements have been made in features like Face Unlock, vibration, WiFi and bug fixes.

OnePlus 5T Specifications and Features

The OnePlus 5T is priced at Rs 32,999 for the 6GB RAM variant. The 8GB RAM comes with a price tag of Rs 37,999. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and Adreno 540 GPU. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac with MIMO 2×2, Bluetooth v5.0 (with aptX and aptX HD), NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C (v2.0) port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The new smartphone sports a 6.0-inch Full Optic AMOLED with full-HD+ (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution, an 18:9 aspect ratio, 401ppi pixel density, and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is backed by a 3300mAh non-removable battery with Dash Charge (5V, 4A) fast charging technology.

The dual rear camera setup on the back features a 16MP Sony IMX398 primary sensor with 1.12-micron pixels, a f/1.7 aperture and a focal length of 27.22mm. The secondary telephoto lens comes with a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376K sensor with 1-micron pixel size, f/1.7 aperture, and a focal length of 27.22mm. Additionally, it is equipped with ‘Intelligent Pixel Technology’ (merges four pixels into one) and a dual-LED flash. The 16-megapixel selfie cam features a Sony IMX371 sensor with 1-micron pixels and an f.2.0 aperture.

The dual-SIM smartphone features a metal unibody design (made from anodized aluminum). Additional features include a Reading Mode, Parallel Apps, and Gallery Maps. You can also long-press the fingerprint sensor to take a selfie, and swipe to bring up the notification shade.
