OnePlus Devices To Get Android Marshmallow Update In Q1 2016

OnePlus has finally announced the schedule for the roll out of Android Marshmallow update for its smartphones. While the company has not shared specific dates for the roll out, it has revealed that the OnePlus devices will get Marshmallow update in early 2016.

To recall, the company has launched its three smartphones in India till date which include OnePlus One, One Plus 2 and OnePlus X. Do you also have a OnePlus smartphone? Android Marshmallow Update

As for Android Marshmallow update, the OnePlus One will receive the update in first quarter of 2016. “We created a community build of OxygenOS for the OnePlus One, but this isn’t what the product officially ships with. We will be updating the community build of OxygenOS for the OnePlus One when time allows,” says the OnePlus in a blog post.

The OnePlus 2 will also receive the update in first quarter of 2016. The company notes that the update for OnePlus 2 will include standard Marshmallow API for the fingerprint sensor.

OnePlus’s latest smartphone dubbed the OnePlus X will also receive Android Marshmallow update but the company fails to provide a specific time frame for the same. Some time later, the company says, it will update the users on a time frame for the OnePlus X.
