Pepsi Phone P1s With 5.5-inch Display, Fingerprint Sensor Launched In China: Price & Specifications

Pepsi has finally unveiled its Android smartphone in China, called the Pepsi Phone P1s. The phone has been manufactured by  Shenzhen Scooby Communication Equipment Co. Ltd and carries Pepsi branding on its back.

As for specifications, it is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor coupled with Mali 450-MP4 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The handset runs Android 5.1 Lollipop wrapped under dido OS 6.1 and features a 5.5-inch full HD 2.5D curved screen display with resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. It sports a 13 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera.

On storage front the Pepsi Phone P1s houses 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded via microSD card. Backed up by a 3000mAh battery, it measures 152.2 ×76.2×7.7 mm in dimensions and weighs 158 grams. The handset also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back for additional security.

The Pepsi Phone P1s is available to buy from jd.com in China. While the early bird offer for CNY 499 (approximately Rs. 5,100) has already been sold out, it is now available at CNY 699 (approximately Rs. 7,200) and is limited to 1000 orders. It comes with a charger, USB cable and a protective cover. There is no word yet on availability and pricing of the phone in markets outside China.
