The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is now priced at Rs 11,999 for the 4GB RAM variant (down from Rs 12,999). The 3GB RAM model is available at Rs 9,999 (down from Rs 10,999). The Redmi Note 6 Pro was initially launched in the Indian market in September last year.

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro sports a 5.84-inch display with full-HD (1080 x 2280 pixels) resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor along with 3GB/ 4GB RAM and 32GB/ 64GB internal storage. The dual camera smartphone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.

In terms of optics, the handset sports a dual camera setup on the back. It features a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies and video calling, the handset sports a 5-megapixel front camera.

Xiaomi has finally the first smartphone under its new ‘Redmi by Xiaomi’ sub-brand. The new handset sports a waterdrop-shaped notch, dual cameras, fingerprint sensor, and a 4,000mAh battery. The highlight of the device is its 48MP primary sensor.

The ‘Redmi’ brand will serve as a separate sub-brand (similar to POCO). Lei Jun (Xiaomi CEO) has confirmed that the new sub-brand will focus on bringing e-commerce friendly devices. On the other hand, the ‘Mi models’ will focus more on mid to high-end devices.
