Samsung has finally launched its Samsung Galaxy J5 alongside Galaxy J7 in the Indian market. Both the devices have been positioned as gaming smartphones in India targeted towards the gaming freaks in the country. Another highlight is that they sport a 5 mega pixel front camera with LED flash.
The Galaxy J5, just like the Galaxy J7, comes pre-loaded with several apps such as- Asphalt 8, GT Racing 2, Modern Combat 5, 6 Guns and Spiderman Unlimited. Furthermore, these devices will come with Game Credits worth Rs. 3,200 (for all 4 games except Spiderman Unlimited) on downloading the games from pre-installed app GameZone. Users can make use of the credits for in-app purchases.
The Galaxy J5 comes with a 5-inch HD sAMOLED display with 1280×720 pixels resolution which is bright and vivid.
Above the display there is a 5 mega pixel front facing camera accompanied with LED flash.
On the rear, it sports a 13 mega auto focus rear camera with LED flash.
As for performance, the Galaxy J5 is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with 1.5GB of RAM, which is fairly decent configuration for gaming. Backed up by a 2600mAh battery, it measures 142.1×71.8×7.9 mm in dimensions and weighs 146 grams. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. There is 8GB of inbuilt storage onboard which is expandable up to 128GB using microSD card. Battery, microSD card and dial SIM card slots are placed under rear panel.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 is priced at Rs. 11,999 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart. Pre-booking starts today (July 16, 2015) while sale will start on July 23. Samsung has partnered with Airtel to offer 4G users with double data offer. Customers will also get unlimited music download worth Rs. 594 through Wynk Music app for period of 6 months. Buyers can also get Samsung flip covers worth Rs. 999 at Rs. 199 for a limited time period.
