Battery capacity seems to be an issue considering the fact that it is a pretty large handset. 5 Megapixel front facing camera is a welcome arrival for the selfie conscious generation. On the software front, Samsung’s TouchWiz is an issue of personal preference but we feel that it’s a little bloated and Samsung should definitely work on that.
Pricing and Availability
Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 is available for purchase from Samsung’s official E-Store at a best buy price of Rs. 20,900. Currently two colour options are available, Black and White.
Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 is a great mid range phablet device primarily aimed for media consumption. The specifications are mid range are best but the software suite and reliable hardware can make up for that. Also, Samsung’s service network in the country is second to none, it should be a major consideration for consumers in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Other smartphone option in this price range that consumers should for is the HTC Desire 816G which includes a much more polished UI i.e. HTC Sense 6 and Dual Front Facing stereo speakers.
