Even though they haven’t even been released yet, rumors and speculations regarding its 2019 flagship smartphone Galaxy S10 have already been doing its rounds. Samsung Galaxy S10 Release Date: What Is Happening Currently?

The recent report published by The Bell states that the company has already started working on its next flagship device. It is expected to be called Samsung Galaxy S10. So the Samsung Galaxy S10 release date could be earlier than expected.

According to the report, the smartphone will be codenamed “Beyond”. Samsung usually gives such codenames to its devices which are under development. The codename defines the gadget’s characteristics. The S9 series was named “STAR”, meanwhile the S8 series was named “Dream”.

The “Beyond” codename indicates that Samsung could be working on a smartphone which hasn’t ever been introduced in the market.

Samsung is also working with Qualcomm, Ezestek, and Synaptics. It is being done to develop fingerprint-on-display (FOD) scanners. According to The Bell, vendors for Galaxy S10 hasn’t been decided yet. It is being speculated that multiple vendors will be selected. This will allegedly be done so that the company has enough FODs during mass production. The report further speculates that the Galaxy S10 will have a 3D sensing module. It will permit an iPhone X-like facial recognition system to the phone.

It is being widely reported that Mantis Vision and Samsung Electronics and Samsung Electronics Institute of Technology to develop the 3D sensors for its upcoming flagship device.

Meanwhile, a new patent regarding the Galaxy Note 9 fingerprint scanner has surfaced online. According to the patent, the Galaxy Note 9 fingerprint scanner will be an in-display component. The patent was found by online publication 91 Mobiles. It reveals that the company will probably enable us to place our fingerprint on the bottom half of the display to unlock the smartphone. The patent reveals that the smartphone can facilitate the AMOLED display’s light-emitting properties to alter the brightness around where we will touch. So basically the smartphone will track our fingerprint and figure if its right person or not. The Galaxy Note 9 fingerprint scanner will probably be very similar to the one in Vivo X20 Plus UD.
