Sony Vaio Flip Review- Price, Features, Specifications, Hardware, Software, Camera and user Modes

Earlier we told you about convertible or hybrid devices from Dell, Lenovo and Asus. Now this time another worldwide player of laptop and PC, Sony has comes up with similar this time but at very expensive cost in Indian market. Sony has launched Vaio Flip line in India, Vaio Flip convertibles laptop-cum-tablet devices comes in three display options of 13-inch, 14-inch and 15-inch. The price of these devices is INR 99,990 for Flip 13, Flip 14 will cost INR 94,990 and Flip 15 will cost around INR 1,04,990. These fully featured devices will be available from the first week of next month.

All devices support up to 1080 pixel resolution display with Triluminous Display technology that we have already seen on Sony’s high end smartphones. Now Sony brought this Trilluminous display to laptops too. In our hands on review we have checked it indoors but we have to test it in sun light and out- doors too, so stay tuned for the full review.

These devices come with the specification that we have not seen many devices like there is 8-megapixel camera with a laptop or convertible. Otherwise, powered by Intel core i5 and i7 processors with minimum of 4GB of RAM on board and a graphic card from Intel will give smooth performance throughout any activity you do on these laptops. As they are running Microsoft’s Windows 8 operating system, there are the decent amount of apps and games that will surely delight every need of any kind of user.

According to Sony all of these devices has Hinge mechanism that allow the screen to be flipped over to another direction. So that if you are watching a video or making a presentation you can show that to a person in front of you by just flipping the screen towards him.

The company is also offering freebies with devices like headphones worth INR 12,990. And also giving unlimited music download for three months via Sony Music Jive application. There is 1- year accidental damage protection warranty with devices along with the warranty can be expended up to 2-years more by paying just rupees 990.
