The UE Megaboom Water-Resistant Wireless Speaker is priced in India Rs 19,995. It will be available in the country from November 20. The UE Megaboom was announced in January 2015.

The UE Megaboom features two 2-inch drivers and two 2-inch x 4-inch passive radiators. It produces a frequency range between 65Hz – 20kHz. The wireless speaker delivers 360-degree sound with a maximum audio level of 90dBA. It comes with a built-in lithium-ion battery offers up to 20 hours on a single charge.
The UE Megaboom speaker comes with an IPX7-certification. It can be immersed in a liquid of up to one meter for up to 30 minutes. The new speaker comes in three color options – Lava Red and Black Charcoal.
You can connect Android and iOS devices with the Megaboom speakers via a dedicated UE Megaboom app. The app enables features such as musical alarm, customisable five-band EQ, gesture controls. It also enables over-the-air (OTA) updates. Additionally, the new wireless speaker supports Siri, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa. However, it is not clear is all three options are available in India.
The wireless speaker supports Bluetooth connectivity up to 100-feet. Other connectivity options include NFC, 3.5mm AUX-in, and a Micro-USB port. A Block Party feature allows the speaker to play music from up to three Bluetooth devices. You can even wirelessly stream audio to up to two UE Megaboom devices from one source.
