The Vivo V7 is priced in India at Rs 18,990. It will be available via Flipkart from November 24. On the other hand, the Oppo F5 is available at Rs 19,990 (4GB RAM/ 32GB storage model). A 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant will be available from December 2017 at Rs 24,990.

The Vivo V7 is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon processor and 4GB RAM. The 32GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB). It is backed by a 3000mAh battery. On the other hand, the Oppo F5 is backed by an octa-core MediaTek MT6763T processor and a 3200mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the Vivo V7 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. The 24-megapixel front camera comes with f/2.0 aperture and a soft ‘Moonlight Glow’ selfie light. The company’s ‘Moonlight Glow’ technology that helps in capturing better selfies in low light conditions.
The Oppo F5 sports a 20-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The USP of the handset is the AI-enabled selfie beautification feature. Oppo claims that the new technology scans 200 facial recognition spots to beautify a selfie shot perfectly. It can even detect a person’s age, sex, and even race. Other features include offers bokeh effect. The new handset also sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and a LED flash.
Design and Display
The Vivo V7 sports a 5.7-inch IPS display with HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It measures 149.3 x 72.8 x 7.9mm and weighs 139 grams. Whereas the Oppo F5 sports a wide 6.0-inch display with full-HD+ resolution (1080 x 2160pixels) and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It measures 156.5 x 76 x 7.5mm and weighs 152 grams.
Both handsets run Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. Additionally, the Oppo handset comes with a facial unlock feature, that works within 0.4 seconds. Users will also be able to choose other unlocking methods such as fingerprint scanner, password, and pattern unlock.
The Vivo V7 comes in Champagne Gold and Matte Black color options. While the Oppo F5 new handset is available in three color options – Red, Black, and Gold.
Both selfie-centric devices bring some powerful specs. Additionally, the Oppo handset comes with features like AI-technology, Facial recognition, O-Share (for faster file transfer between Oppo phones) and Game Acceleration.
