Xbox Head Confirms That A Future Console Is In Works

American multinational tech company Microsoft’s Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed during the Xbox E3 2018, that a new console would be released in the future. During the E3, the company welcomes Halo Infinite and Gears 5. This further justifies the company’s acquisition of Ninja Theory, Playground Games, Undead Labs, and Compulsion Games. Microsoft also has its own internal studio named The Initiative.

A new console in the future also justifies the company’s aim. The aim is to keep a hold in the consumer space with the brand.

According to Spencer, the hardware team of Xbox One X is currently, “deep into architecting the next Xbox console, where we will once again deliver on our commitment to deliver the benchmark of console gaming”.

The Xbox One will have been there for almost five years by now. Meanwhile, Xbox 360 lasted for eight years until Xbox One came.

Jeff Bezos-led company Amazon has launched its Fire TV Cube. Amazon Fire TV Cube is the company’s new streaming TV device. It permits users to show out when they want to flip channels, search for shows, and even to turn on the television.

Amazon Fire TV Cube will still require certain apps and services to be facilitated physically through the remote. For example, to rewind or stop something.

According to the company, it is still working on integrating such services to voice commands.

The company’s other voice-controlled FIre TV gadgets need a push of the remote’s mic button. It can also be done with another Echo device with Alexa voice assistant.

Amazon Fire TV Cube permits people to switch between streaming services and regular cable channels. It is done with voice commands like “Alexa, turn on Ten Sports”. It can also do the usual Alexa work like playing games or weather forecast even when the television has been turned off.

The device is being sold towards the end of June 2018 for $120. In Indian currency, it is around Rs. 8,000.
