Xiaomi Mi S With 4.6-inch Display, Snapdragon 821, 4GB RAM Leaked: Specifications & Features

Xiaomi is reportedly working on a compact variant of the Mi 5S, called the Xiaomi Mi S. Leaked specifications and renders of the phone have surfaced online and give us fair idea about how Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone would be like.

As per the leaked renders, the rear panel of the forthcoming Mi S looks similar to the Xiaomi Mi 5 and has a metallic frame along the sides. It measures 128.3×64.2×8.2 mm and weighs 138 grams.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Mi S will pack a 64-bit 2.35GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. The smartphone will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow or 7.0 Nougat with MIUI 8. On the front, it will feature a 4.6-inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution and 94.4% NTSC color gamut.

The Mi S will house 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. For photography lovers, the smartphone will sport a 12 mega pixel camera on the back with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, Sony IMX378 sensor and 4K video recording. There will also be a 4 mega pixel front shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 2um pixels and 80-degree wide-angle lens. Armed with a 2600mAh battery, the device will support Quick Charge 3.0. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type-C. The phone will also come with a fingerprint sensor for additional security.
