Huawei’s Honor brand has launched its Honor 8 Pro smartphone in Russia. It is a renamed variant of the Honor V9 that was launched in China in February 2017. On the design front, it boasts metal unibody design and has a fingerprint sensor on the back. It measures 157×77.5×6.97 mm and weighs 184 grams.
Under the hood, the phone packs an octa-core Huawei Kirin 960 processor paired with Mali-G71 GPU. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system wrapped under EMUI 5.0. The phone features a 5.7-inch 2.5D curved glass Quad HD display with screen resolution of 2560×1440 pixels.
The smartphone houses 6GB RAM of RAM and 64GB of internal memory and supports expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card. For photography lovers, the device comes with dual 12 mega pixel cameras on the rear. There is also an 8 mega pixel front facing camera for capturing selfies and making video calls. The handset is equipped with a 4000mAh battery and supports fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS and USB Type-C. The smartphone also features an IR sensor that lets users control compatible devices.
