The new smartphone is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core processor and 2GB DDR4 RAM. The 32GB internal storage can be further expanded via a micro SD card (up to 256GB).
In terms of optice, the Lava BeU sports a dual-camera setupon the back. It combines a 13-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.85 aperture) with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.
For selfies and video calling, the budget handset sports an 8MP front camera (f/2.2 aperture). It is backed by a 4,060mAh lithium-polymer battery that offers up to 16 hours of talk time.

The Lava BeU runs the Android 10 Go edition operating system. A fingerprint sensor is placed at the back.

The dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone features a 6.08-inch 2.5D curved glass display with HD+ (720 x 1,560 pixels) resolution, a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and a waterdrop-shaped notch.
In terms of dimensions, the Lava BeU measures 155.5 x 73.3 x 9.82mm and weighs 175.8 grams. It comes in a Rose Pink color option.

Price and Availability

The Lava BeU is priced in India at Rs 6,888. It is already listed on the Lava International website. A virtual launch event is scheduled for January 5.
Alongside the Lava BeU, the company is expected to launch four new smartphones (priced between Rs 5,000 and 15,000) and a smart fitness-tracking band.
All new devices will be available for purchase in the country through both offline and online channels.
