Alcatel Idol 4 With Bundled VR Headset Launched In India For Rs. 16,999: Specifications & Features

Alcatel has launched its Alcatel Idol 4 smartphone in India. The smartphone was unveiled alongside Idol 4s at MWC 2016 earlier this year. It comes bundled with a virtual reality headset for an immersive 360-degree video viewing and gaming. The phone features a boom key on the right edge that gives access to various functions with just a press of the button. With boom key, users can control camera, music, games and other applications.

Under the hood, the Idol 4 packs an octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor clubbed with Adreno 405 GPU. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, it features a 5.2-inch full HD IPS LTPS display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. The smartphone houses 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory (expandable up to 512GB via microSD card).

For photography lovers, the device sports a 13 mega pixel rear camera with dual LED flash and an 8 mega pixel front facing camera with LED flash. Fueled by a 2610mAh battery, it supports Quick Charge 2.0 technology. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB OTG and NFC. The phone measures 147×72.5×7.4 mm and weighs 135 grams. The Idol 4 also features dual-speakers with Waves MaxxAudio technology for ultimate music experience.

Priced at Rs. 16,999, the Alcatel Idol 4 will be available to buy exclusively from e-commerce website Flipkart starting 2:00 PM today (December 8). It comes bundled with a VR headset  and JBL stereo headset in the box.
