The Xiaomi-backed wearables brand initially unveiled the Amazfit Bip S at CES 2020 in January. It is touted to come with up to 40 days of battery life.
The new wearable allows users to control music on their smartphones remotely from their wrists. Additional highlights include a 5 ATM water-resistant build and GPS support. Let’s take a closer look:

The Amazfit Bip S sports a 1.28-inch transflective color TFT display with a resolution of 176 x 176 pixels. It is protected by a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection with an anti-fingerprint coating on top.
An always-on display functionality allows you to view the current time and date without touching the display or pressing a button. The new smartwatch measures 42 x 35.3 x 11.4mm and weighs 19 grams without a strap. With a strap, it weighs 31 grams.
The Amazfit Bip S is compatible with smartphones running Android 5.0/ iOS 10 or above. It supports integration through the Amazfit mobile app. Connectivity options include GPS + GLONASS, Bluetooth v5.0, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) support.
The new smartwatch offers 10 sports modes – Treadmill, Outdoor running, Walking, Indoor cycling, Outdoor cycling, Open water, Pool, Yoga, Elliptical trainer, and Freestyle.
The Amazfit Bip S offers continuous heart-rate tracking and heart-rate warning. There is also fitness and sleep tracking. Sensors on the wearable include a BioTracker PPG optical sensor, three-axis acceleration, and a three-axis geomagnetic sensor.
The smartwatch is backed by a 200mAh battery that offers up to 30 days of usage or 90 days of standby time on a single charge. With minimal usage, it can last up to 40 days.
Price and Availability
The Amazfit Bip S is priced in India at Rs 4,999. It is available in the country through the Amazfit website.
Additionally, it will be available for purchase through online stores (Amazon, Flipkart, and Myntra) and offline stores (Croma, Reliance Digital, and Poorvika Mobiles).
Following its debut at CES 2020, the Amazfit Bip S was launched in the US last month with a price tag of $69.90 (approx Rs 5,300).
