The Apple MacBook Air (2022) is powered by an M2 chipset (new version of the M1 Apple Silicon chip). It comes with 20 billion transistors and a 10-core GPU.
Apple claims that the new chipset is 1.9 times faster (CPU) and 2.3 times faster (GPU) than competing 10-core processors. It comes with the new Secure Enclave, media engine, and neural engine.
The new laptop is said to offer 18 hours of battery backup (while watching videos). The fast charging with an optional 67W USB Type-C power adapter offers up to 50 percent charge in 30 minutes.
Additionally, the Apple MacBook Air (2022) comes with up to 2TB SSD storage. It can be configured with up to 24GB of unified memory.

The Apple MacBook Air (2022) runs macOS. Connectivity options include two USB Type-C/ Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also supports MagSafe charging.
The new laptop comes with a new chassis and a fan-less design. It also features a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina Display with thin bezels and a wide notch that houses a 1080p camera. You can add an external display (up to 6K).
The Apple MacBook Air (2022) will be available in four color options – Midnight, Silver, Space Grey, and Starlight Gold.
