The DJI Osmo Action camera is priced in the US at $349 (approx Rs 24,500). It is now available on the company’s website along with multiple compatible accessories. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price or launch date.

The highlight of the new action camera is its dual display setup. This includes a 1.4-inch full-color display at the front and a 2.25-inch touchscreen at the back. The front-facing display is designed to help users frame better shots for vlog style videos and selfies.
The 1/2.3-inch 12-megapixel CMOS sensor comes with an f/2.8 aperture and a 145-degree field-of-view. It allows you to capture up to 4k 60fps videos. You can also shoot 240fps slow-motion videos at 1080p or lower resolutions. An HDR mode allows you to shoot at up to 30fps (frames per second).
The RockSteady feature is essentially the EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation) mode. It works while shooting 4K videos at 60fps. The action camera is waterproof up to 11m. It is backed by a 1,300mAh battery.
The DJI Osmo Action camera can be paired with the company’s mobile app. You can control the camera directly with your smartphone. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2.

DJI is well-known for manufacturing drones and gimbals. The Osmo Action is the company’s first action camera. It will directly compete with the GoPro cameras such as the GoPro Hero 7.
