The new fitness band comes with several new and improved features over its predecessors. However, it retains the same design.

The Fitbit Charge 4 is made from aerospace-grade aluminium. It comes in three colour variants. There is also a special edition which comes with a black classic band.

The new smart band is said to last up to 7 days on a single charge. It also comes with features like GPS, sleep tracking, and Fitbit Pay. Let’s take a closer look:

The Fitbit Charge 4 comes with a 24/7 heart rate monitor that can record the resting heart rate as well. You can customise your fat burn, cardio, and peak heart rate zones for better tracking.

The fitness band is also equipped with a SpO2 sensor that shows an estimate of the oxygen level variability in your bloodstream. An Active Zone Minutes feature helps you to understand how your activity contributes to their overall health.

The sleep tracking functionality tracks time in light, deep, and REM sleep stages to offer a sleep score. It also comes with all-day activity tracking, guided breathing sessions, and goal-based exercise modes.

The new smart band can save seven days of detailed motion, heart rate data, and daily totals for the past 30 days. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC.

The Fitbit Charge 4 sports a backlit OLED greyscale touchscreen. It displays notifications for calls, messages, app alerts, and more, while it can also show reminders.

The daily dashboard shows all your activity stats (steps, calories burned, heart rate, etc) in one place. The clock faces on the Charge 4 can be customised as well.

The Fitbit app is available on Android and iOS. Users will also be able to control music playback in the Spotify app on your phone.

The company has added dedicated female health options that help in keeping track of cycles, record symptoms, etc.

You can also use the Fitbit Charge 4 to tap and make payments. The Fitbit Pay feature allows you to add your credit and debit cards to the Wallet in the Fitbit app.

Additional features on the device include a vibration motor, a 3-axis accelerometer, optical heart rate monitor, and an altimeter. It is water resistance to 50 metres.

The fitness tracker can last up to 7-day days on standard usage. When used with GPS continuously, the battery will be drained in five hours. It can be completely charged in two hours.

Price and Availability

PriceRs 14,999

The Fitbit Charge 4 is priced in India at Rs 14,999. It comes in the Black, Rosewood, and Storm Black/ Blue variants.

A special edition (Granite Reflective/ Black Woven) variant comes with a price tag of Rs 16,999. Availability dates are yet to be announced.

Fitbit is also giving a 90-day free trial of Fitbit Premium (launched last year). It is available for Rs 819 per month or Rs 6,999 per year.
