Price and Availability

As of now, there is no information about the Indian price or launch date. Garmin has partnered with the Verizon Wireless (American telecom operator) for its first LTE-enabled smartwatch. It will be available in the US next month.

The Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music GPS smartwatch was launched in India at Rs 25,990. While the Vivoactive 3 Music (without LTE) is available at Rs 27,990, the Vivoactive 3 (without music or LTE) costs Rs 24,990.

The new LTE variant allows you to make/receive phone calls, send/ receive text messages, and track all of your workouts (running, swimming, strength training, etc). It comes in three variants – LTE (with music), Music (without LTE), and a standard variant (without LTE or music).

Users of Vivoactive 3 Music will be able to use a heart rate monitor, GPS, contactless payments through Garmin Pay, a swim-safe build, access to Garmin Connect IQ app store. A LiveTrack lets your friends and family track your location.

According to the company, the battery runs for 13 hours when in GPS training mode. Apparently, it will run 5 hours in GPS mode with music playing, and 7 days in smartwatch mode. The wearable device has been given new ways to customize widgets, free watch faces, data fields, and apps. Moreover, the apps are accessible through the Garmin Connect IQTM store. It can be paired with both Android and iOS devices.

The Vivoactive 3 Music also adds on-device music storage capabilities. Users can download offline music playlists from specific streaming services like Deezer. Music can also be transferred directly from PC to smartwatch. Moreover, to listen to songs, users will have to pair the wearable gadget with compatible Bluetooth headphones.

The smartwatch weighs 39 grams and measures 43.1×43.1×13.6mm. It comes with a 1.2-inch (240×240 pixels) display. The smartwatch’s connectivity support and sensors are Bluetooth Smart, ANT+, GPS, GLONASS, optical HR, accelerometer, barometer, compass, and thermometer. For water resistance, the watch has Swim and 5 ATM certification.
