The Honor Magic 2 is priced in India at CNY 3,799 (approx Rs 40,300) for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB internal storage variant. While the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage model costs CNY 4,299 (approx Rs 45,600), the 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage comes with a price tag of CNY 4,799 (approx Rs 50,100).

The new smartphone is now available for pre-orders. Sales start on November 6 via the company’s VMall e-commerce site. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and launch date.

The new handset is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor (2 x 2.6GHz Cortex-A76 cores + 2 x 1.92GHz Cortex-A76 cores + 4 x 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 cores) and 6GB/ 8GB RAM.
The 3,500mAh battery comes with 40W Magic Charge fast charging technology that delivers a full charge in 55 minutes.

In terms of optics, the Honor Magic 2 sports a triple rear camera setup on the front and back. The rear camera setup combines a 16-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture), a 24-megapixel monochrome sensor (f/1.8 aperture), and a 16-megapixel sensor (super wide-angle lens, f/2.2 aperture). Camera features include AIS tech (image stabilization) and a LED flash.

The front camera setup uses a 16-megapixel primary sensor (f/2.0 aperture). Additionally, it includes two 2-megapixel sensors with a f/2.4 aperture for 3D Face Unlock features. The 128GB/ 256GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card.

The Honor Magic 2 runs Android 9.0 Pie operating system with Magic UI 2.0 on top (first few models will run EMUI 9.0). Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (dual-band, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It ships with a USB Type-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter.

The dual-SIM sports a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution, a pixel density of 403ppi, DCI-P3 (108 percent) color gamut, and a 91.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. The front camera and 3D Face Unlock sensors are placed on a slider.

The new smartphone measures 157.32 x 75.13 x 8.3mm and weighs around 206 grams. It comes with an IPX2 rating (dustproof and splash-proof). Additional features inlcude an in-display fingerprint scanner and the Yoyo AI-based virtual assistant.
