Price $250 (approx Rs 17,500) – $300 (approx Rs 21,000)

The HTC Exodus 1s is expected to be priced between $250 (approx Rs 17,500) and $300 (approx Rs 21,000). It is likely to go on sale by the end of the third quarter of 2019. As of now, there is no information about the availability in India.

The new crypto-smartphone will be capable of running a full Bitcoin node (used to validate and relay transactions on Blockchain). It will also support HTC’s Zion wallet app which can be used to store, send, request a number of cryptocurrencies (including Bitcoin, Ether, and Litecoin).

The HTC Exodus 1s will use a dedicated SD card to store the full Bitcoin ledger (around 200GB). A ‘pruned version’ (around 10GB) can be stored on the smartphone’s internal storage.

Additionally, developers will now be able to play around with the code and probably build better software. HTC is releasing the Zion Vault SDK on GitHub. The original Exodus 1 phone will also get the full Bitcoin node support.

The HTC Exodus 1 can be pre-ordered with Ethereum and Bitcoin. It costs 0.15 Bitcoins or 4.78 Ethereum tokens (approx Rs 75,000). As of now, there is no information about the availability in India. The Indian government is strict on cryptocurrency usage.

The new smartphone sports a QHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The handset is backed by a 3,500mAh battery with HTC Rapid Charger 3.0 fast charging support.

In terms of optics, the HTC Exodus 1 comes with a dual camera setup on the front and back. The rear camera module combines a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 16-megapixel secondary sensor. The front camera setup uses two 8-megapixel sensors.

The single-SIM smartphone runs Android Oreo operating system. It comes with an IP68 rating (dust and water resistance). The HTC Exodus 1 comes is equipped with HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition and HTC USonic with Active Noise Cancellation. Connectivity options include 4G LTE.
