The Infinix Smart 5 is priced in India at Rs 7,199. It will be available for purchase through Flipkart.
The new handset is different from the global version of the Smart 5 smartphone in August last year. It comes with a larger display and a larger battery.
The company launched the Infinix Smart 4 in November last year at Rs 6,999. The Infinix Smart 4 Plus came with a starting price of Rs 7,999.

The Infinix Smart 5 is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor (up to 2.0GHz) and 2GB RAM. The 32GB internal storage can be further expanded (up to 256GB) via a dedicated microSD card slot.
The new handset is backed by a 6,000mAh battery that offers up to 50 days of standby time and up to 53 hours of 4G talktime.
In terms of optics, the handset sports a 13-megapixel rear camera (f/1.8 aperture), low light sensor, and a quad-LED flash. It supports slow-mo video capture.
For selfies and video calling, the Infinix Smart 5 features an 8MP front camera (f/2.0) with an LED flash. Camera features include portrait and wide selfie modes.

The Infinix Smart 5 runs Android 10 with the company’s XOS 7 UI on top. It comes with a fingerprint sensor and supports the face unlock feature.
Other sensors on the device include a gyroscope, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, and accelerometer.
The dual-SIM (nano) smartphone features a 6.82-inch IPS display with HD+ (720 x 1,640 pixels) resolution, a 90.66 percent screen-to-body ratio, an aspect ratio of 20:5:9, peak brightness of 440 nits, and a 1500:1 contrast ratio.
In terms of dimensions, the Infinix Smart 5 measures 171.82 x 77.96 x 8.90mm. It comes in four color options – Aegean Blue, Morandi Green, Obsidian Black, and 6° Purple.
Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, and a Micro-USB port.
