InFocus Bingo 21 Launched At Rs. 5,499: Details & Hands On Review [With Video]

InFocus has launched yet another budget smartphone in the Indian market. Called the InFocus Bingo 21, it is the first smartphone to be launched in Bingo series. The phone is priced at Rs. 5,499 and it is one of the few smartphones in this price range to offer 4G support.

The design of the phone seems to have been targeted at the youth. We got an orange-black unit of the device with orange sides and black rear panel which looks attractive. Besides orange, it also comes in white and blue color options. The phone is made up of high quality plastic which feels good in hand. Rear panel of the phone has vertical stripes which helps in better grip. The overall design of the phone is sturdy and rugged.

On the rear of the phone, there is an 8 mega pixel primary camera, LED flash, InFocus branding and speaker. The single rear speaker of the phone seemed to muffle sometimes during our testing and audio loudness of the speaker is also not very high.

Right edge of the phone is clean.

The bottom edge of the phone houses 3.5mm audio jack and charging port.

Back panel of the handset is removable and gives access to removable battery, dual SIM card slots and a microSD card slot.

On the front, there is a 4.5-inch FWVGA display which is decent enough for a phone in this price range. The viewing angles are good and the screen comes with automatic brightness feature.

Above the display, there is LED notification, front camera, LED flash and earpiece.

Below the display, there is InFocus branding. Three touch buttons are a part of the display. There are no bezel buttons.

The handset stands at 8GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

For photography lovers, the phone comes with an 8 mega pixel rear camera and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. Both primary and secondary cameras are accompanied with LED flash. The rear camera takes good shots in proper lighting. The low light shots, however, are not very impressive.

Front camera of the phone is better than what you would expect from a phone in this price range. The front LED flash certainly helps it in taking decent selfies.

Under the hood, it is powered by a 32-bit 1.5GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. On testing the phone on An tu tu, we got score of around 25000 points. The phone packs a moderate chipset and doesn’t show any lag or stutter while playing moderate level games.

It is backed up by a 2300mAh removable battery which is appropriate for a phone like Bingo 21, which comes with moderate processor and low resolution display. It is good enough to survive for a day on moderate usage.

On software front, the phone runs Android Lollipop operating system, wrapped under InFocus skin. Switching between apps is quick and lag-free. The phone does not support USB OTG. Users can however install apps to microSD card by changing preferred location.

The InFocus Bingo 21 is priced at Rs. 5,499 and will be available to buy exclusively from online retailer Snapdeal. It will go on sale starting February 11, 2016 while registration for the sale will open on February 5.

Verdict

The InFocus Bingo 21 is an impressive smartphone with an affordable price tag. It is one of the few smartphones to offer 4G support. The Bingo 21 is certainly a value for money device which offers a lot of features, such as, good camera combination, respectable configuration, striking design and decent battery life.
