The Intex Indie 5 is priced in India at Rs 4,999. It is available across Intex’s online and offline partners in India.

The budget smartphone sports a 5.0-inch IPS display with Dragontrail Glass, HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution, a pixel density of 294ppi, and 16.7 million colors. Additionally, the new handset comes with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor and 2GB DDR3 RAM. The 16GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB).
In terms of optics, the Intex Indie 5 sports 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera sensor with anLED flash. The 8-megapixel front camera also comes with an LED flash. Camera features include HDR, beautification mode, and panorama.
The entry-level handset is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.

The Intex Indie 5 runs Android 7.0 operating system out-of-the-box. It comes with preloaded apps like SwiftKey (supports 22 major Indian languages), Amazon Prime Video (video streaming app), Gaana (music streaming app), and a QR code scanner. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi with WLAN, Bluetooth v4.0, micro-USB with OTG, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The dual-SIM (Micro) smartphone measures 146.5 x 72.2 x 10.1mm and weighs 162 grams. It only comes in a Black color variant with a brushed finish at the back. Sensors on the device include an ambient light sensor, gravity sensor, and proximity sensor.
Recently, Intex has released multiple budget handsets in the Indian market such as the Intex Infie 3 and Infie 33. Both devices come with 18:9 ratio display and are priced under Rs 4,999. Now, the Intex Indie 5 brings features like 4G VoLTE and 4,000mAh battery at an affordable price.
