Price Rs 12,990

The Lenovo Tab V7 tablet is priced in India at Rs 12,990 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. The 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant bears a price tag of Rs 14,990.

The new tablet will be available from August 1 via on Flipkart. The company claims that it will soon be available on other offline (Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, etc) and online (Amazon.in, Lenovo.com, etc) channels.

Additionally, a special variant (with iris recognition technology) will be available for government and enterprises.

The new tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor. It comes in two RAM variants – 3GB and 4GB. The 32GB/ 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card slot (up to 128GB).

In terms of optics, the Lenovo Tab V7 tablet sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Camera features include HDR support, Night Shot, and a Panorama mode.

The massive 5,180mAh battery offers up to 30 hours of talk time. It is touted to offer up to 10 hours of local video playback and browsing time.

The new tablet features a 6.9-inch display with full-HD (1080 x 2160 pixels) resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio and an 81 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is only 7.89mm thin and weighs 195 grams.

The Lenovo Tab V7 runs Android 9.0 Pie OS and supports dual 4G networks. It features two Dolby audio front-facing speakers. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back. Additionally, the tablet supports the Face Unlock feature.

The iris recognition technology on the special variant supports cashless and paperless services in various applications (banking, etc.) and eGovernance services (passport, taxation, healthcare, education, etc).

Conclusion

The Lenovo Tab V7 was originally unveiled at MWC this year as a ‘tablet-and-smartphone-in-one.’ It remains to be seen how it performs in the Indian market.
