Expanding its Canvas series, Micromax has launched its new smartphone Micromax Canvas Pep in India. Under the hood, the phone is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad-core MediaTek 6582M processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. It features a 4.5 inch FWVGA display with 854 x 480 pixels resolution and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. On storage front, it houses 8 GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. Coming to photography department, the handset sports a 5 mega pixel rear camera while there is also a 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera onboard. The phone comes fueled with a 1700 mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 6 hours of talk time and up to 210 hours of standby time. Canvas Pep offers 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPRS/EDGE and Micro-USB as connectivity options. It comes preloaded with several apps like Truecaller, Mad, Snapdeal, Quikr, Clean Master, Ask Me, Hello TV, Dr. Safety, Saavn, Mi Live, Mi Games, Opera Mini and many more.

Micromax had also launched its Bolt A82 smartphone earlier this week. The device runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and features 5 inch FWVGA TFT display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. It is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad-core MediaTek processor accompanied with 512 MB of RAM.
Other specifications of the handset include 5 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3 mega pixel camera, 4 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. Fueled by an 1800 mAh battery, it includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Micro-USB as connectivity options.
Micromax has also rolled out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its Canvas series smartphones with Canvas Xpress being the first phone to receive the update. Users will be notified about the update when their phone will be connected to internet.
Price and Availability
Micromax Canvas Pep is now listed on company’s official website. It is available to buy through offline as well offline retailers across the country at Rs. 5,999. It will be available in Mystic Blue and Pristine White color options.
