Nokia D1C Leaked Images Surface Online

Nokia’s upcoming smartphone, the Nokia D1C was spotted on a benchmarking website last month in October 2016. The listing gave us a fair idea about key specifications and features of the forthcoming smartphone. Now a few leaked images of the D1C have surfaced online on Weibo revealing its design.

The images posted on Weibo reveal that there will be two variants of the Nokia D1C. Out of the two variants, one will be a standard variant with polycarbonate rear panel (Black and White color options) and metal frame. There will also be a high-end or premium model with all-metal unibody design and a fingerprint sensor (Gold color option).

As per the leaked images, the D1C will house 3.5mm audio jack on the top edge. Camera module along with Nokia branding sits on the rear. Right edge houses volume rockers and power button while SIM card slot is located on the left edge. Charging port and speakers are housed on the bottom edge. Below the display, the phone features three physical navigation buttons.

Nokia is widely accepted to be coming back in the smartphone and tablet space with Android based devices. Confirming its return, a Nokia smartphone- Nokia D1C has been spotted on benchmarking website GeekBench. The listing reveals some of the key specifications and features of the phone.

As per the GeekBench listing, the  upcoming D1C smartphone will pack a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU. On the software front, it will run Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. There will be 3GB RAM onboard. The listing also reveals the single-core and multi-core test results of the phone as 667 and 3229 respectively. There is no information about camera resolution and battery capacity of Nokia’s upcoming phone. More details are likely to surface in the coming days.

Nokia D1C GeekBench

Nokia also launched its dual SIM feature phone- Nokia 216, in India for Rs. 2,495. It features a 2.8-inch QVGA LCD (320×240 pixels resolution) display and runs Series 30+ operating system. The phone supports expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD card. It sports a VGA camera with LED flash on the front as well as on the rear. Backed up by a 1020mAh battery, it offers 2G, Bluetooth 3.0 and Micro-USB as connectivity options. It measures 118×50.2×13.5 mm and weighs 82.6 grams.

The feature phone also comes pre-loaded with Opera Mobile Store where users can find games and apps. Users can download one free Gameloft game like GT Racing and Little Big City, every month for a year. Read more about Nokia 216 here.
