Conclusion

Previous reports claimed that the upcoming flagship smartphone will feature the company’s new under-display camera technology.

Recently, Xiaomi showcased a prototype smartphone with under-display camera technology. Oppo also displayed similar technology at the MWC Shanghai event last year

Oppo uses a customized camera module, an enhanced translucent panel material, and advanced processing algorithms.

On the other hand, the Vivo APEX 2020 concept phone features an under-display camera that only appears when needed.

To improve quality, Vivo increased the light transmittance of the screen right above the front camera. Optical interference, diffraction, etc are compensated through a series of algorithm optimizations.
