The new camera is touted to be the “world’s smallest and lightest” full-frame camera. It comes with a 24.2MP sensor, in-body image stabilization (IBIS), and 4K video recording.

Additionally, it supports advanced shooting modes such as S-Log, HLG picture profiles, and real-time eye-autofocus (Eye AF). Let’s a closer look:

The Sony A7C sports a 24.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor. It comes with a native ISO range of 100 – 51,200, burst shooting of up to 10fps, and 5-axis IBIS (in-body image stabilization).

The new mirrorless camera features with 693 phase detection autofocus (PDAF) points with support for Eye AF (real-time eye-autofocus) for both humans and animals.

The Sony A7C is capable of shooting up to 4K videos at 30fps or full-HD (1080p) videos at 120fps.

The new camera is backed by an NP-FZ100 high-capacity battery. It is said to deliver up to 740 images on one charge (when using the LCD display).

The Sony A7C sports a 3.0-inch touchscreen LCD display with a 921K dot resolution. There is also an OLED viewfinder (EVF) with a 2.36 million dot resolution and magnification of 0.59x.

The full-frame mirrorless camera comes in a magnesium alloy body. It measures 124.0 x 71.1 x 59.7mm and weighs about 509g.

Additional features on the Sony A7C include built-in Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth, NFC, and a single SD card slot. A USB Type-C port allows users to charge the battery while it’s still inside the camera.

Price and Availability

Price (body-only)$1,800 (roughly Rs. 1,32,000)

The Sony A7C will be available in late October for $1,800 (roughly Rs. 1,32,000). It will also be available with the FE 28-60mm F4-5.6 zoom lens for about $2,100 (Rs. 1,54,160).
